A letter to you

 Hi, my name is C.C.

I've broken a foot, gotten F's, and forgotten my mom's birthday. I make a bad tooth fairy. I've laughed at the wrong time, many times. I don't own an iron. Somewhere along the way, I know there is a place where we can meet and feel connected. Because you have a mother. Because you've skinned your knee. Because you've thought yourself better, and worse. And you, too, have laid down on a hard bed, only to seek the sun in the morning. Word. :)
I'm a mom, a human being, a woman, an artist, a wife, a Catholic. I love to hug my children, and I love warm coffee in the morning. I love words, sounds, and places that have been lovingly knit together, out of time, dimension, thought, and harmony. Sometimes the world seems too large, too out of control to even have a dream. So I just put one foot in front of the other. And I am coming to see that my dream is to value each person in their most perfect way, those people who are set before me.
